Kennel Manager Job Description
We are searching for an attentive, hard-working Kennel Manager to help manage our dog boarding facility in West Branch. The Kennel Manager’s main responsibilities include checking clients in and out, cleaning kennel runs, feeding dogs, and letting dogs out for playtime.
Kennel Manager Responsibilities:
- Checking clients in and out during our check-in/out times. Excellent customer service required
- Labeling food bins, feeding dogs and administering medication
- Letting dogs out into the yard and supervising dogs in groups
- Previous experience with dogs is preferred. Will be trained in dog handling and behavior
- Will be trained in our software (PetExec) for scheduling, check in/outs, and sending daily report cards to clients
- Cleaning animal waste, spilled food, hair, and other debris from the kennels
- Disposing of trash in a timely manner
- Washing and sanitizing dog bowls
- Ensuring that the dogs have ample, fresh water at all times
- Keeping the lobby clean and organized
- Switch and fold laundry
- Clean yard of animal waste and spray yard with cleaning solution
- Hose out and clean outdoor patios
- Setting up kennels for new dogs
- Transporting animals to and from the kennels
Kennel Manager Requirements:
- Physically fit and agile
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds unaided
- A passion for animal welfare and an overall love of dogs (all shapes & sizes!)
- Strong attention to detail and high standard of cleanliness
- Available to work during early mornings, early evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours required are 6am-10:30am and 2-6:30pm
- Smartphone required

Dog Handler Job Description
We are searching for a hard-working, responsible, and dependable Dog Handler to help with the cleaning duties and handling of dogs at our kennel and daycare facilities. The Dog Handler’s main responsibilities include cleaning kennel runs & outdoor areas, supervising group play, assisting with check-ins and check-outs, and cleaning the daycare play areas. - Physically fit and agile with capacity to lift up to 50 pounds unaided
- Must have a car/transportation
- A passion for animal welfare and an overall love of dogs (all shapes & sizes!)
- Strong attention to detail and high standard of cleanliness
- Must be available to work during early mornings, early evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Position will start part-time and has the potential to go full-time
- Previous experience with dogs is preferred. Will be trained in dog handling and behavior
